But when it comes to body piercing, there is something even more important than appearance: the material of the jewellery itself.
A fresh piercing is essentially a healing wound, and the jewellery remains in contact with the body throughout the healing process.

Titanium naturally forms a stable oxide layer on its surface, giving it excellent corrosion resistance.

06 | Titanium Can Be Colourful Too
Many clients see colourful titanium jewellery for the first time and ask: “Is this colour plated?”
In fact, titanium can be coloured through a process called anodising.
This can create colours such as: gold, blue, purple, green and many other shades.
Anodising works by changing the thickness of the oxide layer on the surface of the titanium.
The way light interacts with this layer creates the visible colour.
