2. Policies Forming Part of These Terms
The following NOCA policies form part of these Terms:
-
Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy;
-
Age & ID Policy;
-
Privacy Policy;
-
Shipping & Returns Policy;
-
Cookie Policy or Cookie Settings, where applicable;
-
piercing consent, health screening and aftercare information provided in connection with your service.
Where a specific policy applies to a particular transaction or service, that policy must be read together with these Terms.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific policy, the more specific policy applies to that particular issue, subject always to your statutory rights.
3. Using Our Website
You must use nocapiercing.com only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;
-
interfere with the operation or security of the website;
-
introduce malicious software, viruses or harmful code;
-
misuse booking, checkout or payment systems;
-
submit false or misleading information;
-
copy or commercially exploit website content without permission.
We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where necessary to protect our systems, customers or business.
4. Website Information
We take reasonable care to keep information on our website accurate and up to date.
Product images, jewellery colours, gemstone appearance and other visual details can vary slightly because of lighting, screen settings, natural material variations and manufacturing tolerances.
Prices, descriptions and availability displayed on the website are subject to correction where an obvious error has occurred.
If an error affects an order or booking you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding. You will not be required to accept a materially different product, service or price.
5. Making a Booking
All advance appointments must be booked through NOCA's official booking system.
A booking is confirmed once:
-
the required booking information has been submitted;
-
the required deposit or payment has been successfully received; and
-
a booking confirmation has been issued.
You are responsible for checking that the service, date, time and contact information shown in your confirmation are correct.
Appointment confirmations and reminders sent by email or SMS are provided as a convenience. Failure to receive a reminder does not cancel an existing appointment.
6. Deposits, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Deposits secure appointment time specifically reserved for the client.
Our standard cancellation and rescheduling rules are set out in our separate Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy, including the rules for:
-
cancellations with at least 24 hours' notice;
-
cancellations within 24 hours;
-
rescheduling;
-
late arrivals;
-
no-shows;
-
intoxication or inability to provide informed consent;
-
professional anatomy and safety assessments;
-
cancellations made by NOCA.
Those rules apply subject to any statutory cancellation right available to you under UK consumer law.
7. Prices & Payments
Prices displayed on the website are stated in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise specified.
The total amount payable will be shown before you confirm a booking or order.
Any additional jewellery, products or services selected during an appointment will be charged separately unless clearly stated as included.
Payment must be made using a payment method accepted by NOCA.
We do not impose optional charges without the customer's active agreement.
8. Piercing Prices & Jewellery
The price shown for a piercing service covers only the items and services expressly stated as included.
Where jewellery upgrades or additional jewellery are selected, the additional price will be explained before the purchase is completed.
NOCA does not accept client-provided jewellery for initial piercing procedures.
Jewellery used for a piercing must be supplied or approved by NOCA so that we can assess its material, design, size and suitability for the intended placement.
9. Age & Identification
All piercing services are subject to NOCA's separate Age & ID Policy.
You are responsible for checking the applicable requirements before booking.
Where required identification, consent or supporting documentation is not provided, the service will not proceed.
The resulting booking and deposit will be handled in accordance with the Age & ID Policy and Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
10. Consent & Health Screening
Before a piercing is performed, the client must complete the required consent and health screening process.
You must provide complete and accurate information relevant to the safe provision of the service.
You must tell the piercer about relevant changes to the information supplied if your circumstances change before the appointment.
NOCA will not perform a piercing where the piercer determines that the procedure cannot be carried out safely.
Providing false, incomplete or misleading information can result in the service being refused.
11. Right to Refuse or Stop a Service
NOCA will refuse or stop a piercing where:
-
the client cannot provide valid informed consent;
-
the client appears to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs;
-
the piercer determines that the anatomy or current condition is unsuitable;
-
carrying out or continuing the procedure would create an unacceptable safety risk;
-
required consent or documentation has not been provided;
-
the client behaves in a threatening, abusive, discriminatory or unsafe manner;
-
the client asks NOCA to carry out a procedure that the piercer considers unsafe or professionally inappropriate.
Where the service cannot proceed because of the client's conduct or failure to meet clearly stated requirements, the deposit will be handled under the applicable booking policy.
Where a piercing cannot proceed following a professional anatomy or safety assessment that could not reasonably have been determined before the appointment, the alternative-service and refund rules in our Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy apply.
12. Piercing Procedure & Results
NOCA will perform piercing services with reasonable care and skill.
Piercing involves inherent risks, including temporary pain, swelling, bleeding, bruising, irritation, migration, rejection, scarring, infection and other complications.
Relevant risks will be explained as part of the consent process.
Individual anatomy and healing responses vary. NOCA does not guarantee:
-
a specific healing time;
-
that every piercing will heal successfully;
-
that migration, rejection or scarring will never occur;
-
an identical aesthetic result between different individuals.
Nothing in this section limits our legal obligation to perform services with reasonable care and skill.
13. Aftercare
Clients must follow the aftercare instructions provided by NOCA.
If you experience a healing concern, contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assess the situation and provide appropriate advice.
Healing outcomes can be affected by factors outside NOCA's control, including:
-
touching or trauma;
-
inappropriate aftercare;
-
failure to downsize jewellery where required;
-
early jewellery removal or changes;
-
lifestyle and environmental factors;
-
individual healing response.
NOCA remains responsible for its own legal obligations and nothing in these Terms excludes liability arising from a failure to provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
14. Jewellery Changes & Aftercare Services
Any complimentary aftercare, review or downsizing service is subject to the scope and time period stated when the piercing is purchased.
Replacement jewellery, decorative ends or other products are charged separately unless expressly stated as included.
Additional services outside the included aftercare period are charged at the price stated at the time of booking.
15. Online Product Orders
When you place an online order, you are offering to purchase the selected goods.
An order is accepted when we issue confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched.
If a product becomes unavailable before dispatch, we will contact you and provide the applicable refund or alternative options.
We will not substitute a different item without your agreement.
16. Shipping
Delivery areas, shipping charges, free-shipping thresholds, estimated delivery times, tracking services, customs information and lost-parcel procedures are set out in our separate Shipping & Returns Policy.
Delivery times are estimates unless a guaranteed service has expressly been agreed.
17. Returns & Hygiene-Sealed Jewellery
Piercing jewellery is supplied in hygiene-sealed packaging where the health and hygiene return exception is relied upon.
For eligible online goods, statutory cancellation rights apply in accordance with UK consumer law.
Where sealed piercing jewellery is unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, the change-of-mind cancellation right ends once the hygiene seal has been opened.
Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods remain subject to your statutory consumer rights regardless of whether the hygiene seal has been opened.
Full requirements are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
18. Faulty Goods
Goods supplied by NOCA must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law.
Where goods are faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, available remedies include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
19. Problems With Services
Services provided by NOCA must be performed with reasonable care and skill.
If you believe there is a genuine problem with a service we provided, contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assess the issue.
Your remedies are determined by applicable consumer law.
We do not exclude or restrict rights relating to services that were not provided with reasonable care and skill.
20. Studio Conduct
Clients and accompanying visitors must behave respectfully and safely while attending NOCA.
Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, violent or deliberately disruptive behaviour is not accepted.
NOCA will end an appointment and require the person concerned to leave where necessary to protect clients, staff or the studio.
21. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for personal belongings brought into the studio.
NOCA is responsible for loss or damage only where that loss or damage results from a breach of our legal obligations.
22. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of nocapiercing.com and NOCA's original business materials are owned by or licensed to NOCA Piercing Studio.
This includes:
-
branding;
-

You can view and use website content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute or commercially exploit our protected content without prior permission.
23. Reviews, Messages & Content Submitted to Us
If you submit a review, testimonial or other content for publication, you confirm that the content is your own or that you have permission to provide it.
We will not knowingly publish unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or infringing content.
Submitting private customer-service communications does not automatically give NOCA permission to use them publicly for marketing.
Photographs and videos are handled separately in accordance with our consent process and Privacy Policy.
24. Third-Party Services & Links
Our website uses or links to third-party services including payment providers, booking systems, delivery services, social media platforms and other external websites.
Independent third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
NOCA is not responsible for the content or operation of an independent third-party website that is outside our control.
This does not remove any responsibility that NOCA has under law for suppliers or processors acting on our behalf.
25. Website Availability
We take reasonable steps to keep our website available and secure.
Temporary interruption can occur because of maintenance, technical problems, service-provider outages or events outside our reasonable control.
Where a technical error affects a confirmed purchase or booking, we will take reasonable steps to correct the issue and honour your applicable consumer rights.
26. Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing excludes or restricts liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
failure to provide services with reasonable care and skill;
-
faulty or misdescribed goods where statutory rights apply;
-
any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
NOCA is not responsible for losses that were not caused by a breach of our obligations or that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
27. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Events outside our reasonable control include serious weather disruption, transport interruption, power or internet failure, government restrictions, emergency closure and disruption affecting essential third-party services.
If such an event prevents us from providing a booked service or fulfilling an order, we will contact affected customers and provide the appropriate rescheduling, cancellation, refund or delivery options according to the circumstances and applicable law.
28. Privacy & Personal Data
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This includes information used for:
-
bookings;
-
health screening;
-
consent records;
-
payments;
-
online orders;
-

-
customer service;
-
website operation.
Please read our Privacy Policy before submitting personal information.
29. Changes to These Terms
We update these Terms when necessary to reflect changes to our services, business practices, website or applicable legal requirements.
The version that applies to a transaction is the version in force when the relevant booking or order is made, unless a change is required by law.
Updated Terms will be published on nocapiercing.com with the latest revision date.
30. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
An unenforceable provision does not affect rights that arise independently under applicable consumer law.
31. Complaints
If you have a complaint about a booking, piercing service, order or product, please contact us so that we can investigate the issue.
Please provide:
-
your name;
-
booking or order number where applicable;
-
a clear description of the issue;
-
relevant supporting information.
We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
Data protection complaints are handled separately in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
32. Governing Law
These Terms and contracts between you and NOCA Piercing Studio are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this provision does not remove any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.
Any dispute will be dealt with by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
33. Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms or any NOCA policy excludes, restricts or reduces your statutory consumer rights.
